Project compassion would like you to know that we are always accepting volunteers! We have many opportunities available for volunteers to work in the nursing homes with the residents. Some of these opportunities involve visiting residents with no family or friends and helping residents with limited mobility play games like Bingo. Other opportunities involve playing music for them using the instrument of your choice and teaching groups to knit, crochet, draw or paint, in which case, we will provide the supplies to do so. You can even bring your pet to visit the residents as long as a shot record is provided. If you are interested in volunteering, download our application form from our site and mail it to us.
We would also like to invite everyone to the new volunteer training workshop. It will be held at our offices on South Albert Pike from 11:30AM to 1:00PM on October 17. This will be a great opportunity for volunteers that are just starting out to get a sense of what to expect.
