Did you know that over 60% of nursing home residents don’t have visitors? This means that those people may not receive Christmas gifts. That’s where Project Compassion and our Hearts of Gold campaign comes in. We collect gifts of warmth and comfort to give to nursing home residents during the Christmas season.

We will be taking donations and gifts at our Open House in Fort Smith -emcee Daren Bobb of 5News- at the St. Scholastica Retreat Center on Tuesday, December 1st (which just happens to be ‪#‎GivingTuesday‬!) And if you’re in the Van Buren area on Tuesday, December 8th, we are having our first ever Hearts of Gold Reception at the Hampton in Van Buren, where we’ll be collecting donations and gifts as well. There will be free food and holiday fun at both events!

Please join us to help spread a little joy this holiday season to these important members of our community. We already have some companies and organizations that are helping collect donations for us. If you, your company, or your church would be willing to help, please let us know. The gifts we are collecting are listed on the flyer. We have collection boxes available and monetary donations are always accepted and appreciated.

If you would like to volunteer at a nursing home to visit with residents, or if you’d like to volunteer at our office to help sort and package gifts, please call: (479)783-2273, or email: director@projectcompassioninc.com. Thank you!
